We have great news from Wellground. We have been very quiet lately on sales of 'elite' alpacas. We sold out early last year, with such demand we actually sold more than we should have, that means we have been breeding up our stocks again. That is not a speedy process when you have a compact elite herd, breeding for 'Quality rather than Quantity'.
The News is.... We have been asked to act on behalf of Harefield Alpacas to offer some of their finest pregnant females for sale. Derek and Sandra Williams from Harefield are very busy at the moment creating the new Experience Alpaca retail outlet on Merseyside. (I will have more information about that in a blog later this month).
This is a fantastic opportunity for us at Wellground. Let me explain.....
A few years ago when we were acting as sales agents for EP Cambridge Alpaca Stud, we were in an enviable position to 'cherry pick' the very finest white 'elite' alpacas coming through the EP Cambridge Australian import process. The very best of these female alpacas were sourced to make up our own 'core herd' and that of our friends Derek and Sandra at Harefield Alpacas.
Now a few years down the road, Derek and Sandra are releasing one of those 'core herd' imports 'Cambridge Pirouette' (By EP Cambridge Peruvian Spartacus) and a group of offspring from their imported females. These offspring are now breeding females in their own right, with full Australian (EP Cambridge Adelaide) genetics. They are all pregnant to Australian herdsires from the same breeding programme.
So this is very exciting for us. This gives us the opportunity to offer for sale in the UK, alpacas with the World's very finest genetics once more. These pregnant female alpacas will be resident at Wellground soon. They come from a very biosecure holding on Merseyside and their husbandry regime is second to none.
For more information about the elite alpacas available this spring at Wellground, have a look at our sales page on our web site. You'll be pleased you did.
Hey Guys
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic news, good luck with the sales I'm sure they will be snapped up by some very lucky owners and what an opportunity not to be missed.
